Christine McGiveron
Scotland Branch Administrator
My career since leaving school has been mainly in administration in various organisations. I began at the age of sixteen in the British Red Cross, then moving into the financial services with a short break to work with the RSSPCC, then in Strathclyde social services. I enjoyed some time as Treasurer with a local travel agent, before returning to financial services and qualified as a Financial Adviser. retired in I993 due to ill health.
I joined CSPA in September 2008 and was elected as the Glasgow and District Group Secretary, following Alison Leighton’s retirement from this position after her many years of service. After extending my stay in this position, due to the pandemic situation, I officially retired in February 2022. Following the retirement of the then Branch Secretary, and the position being renamed and advertised, I was elected to my present position as Branch Administrator in 2017.
I very much enjoyed working for and with the members as Secretary of the Glasgow & District Group, and I am privileged in my present position within the CSPA Scotland Branch, to work alongside the Branch Officers on behalf of, and for the benefit of all our Scottish members.
