Once you become a member of the CSPA you have access to exclusive rates on travel, car and home insurance policies.
We also have access to deals for car, home, pet, car hire excess insurance and caravan cover from from an award winning, not for profit organisation. Any any surplus income is used for charitable works and donations to Civil service related and Public Sector Charities.
Pension Information and Legal Advice
We are a trusted partner of MyCSP (the administrator of Civil Service Pensions) and are able to offer our members help if they experience problems with their Civil Service pension.
Our special members benefit package also includes access to free legal information and signposting to appropriate legal services. If a lawyer is required to act on behalf of a member, legal advisers will put them in touch with one of their specialist teams to discuss how they can help and what costs are likely to apply.

This magazine is sent free of charge to all members.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your membership will be active from when you have been approved and successfully purchased your CSPA membership.
If you have joined online, you will receive a confirmation email. All new members – whether online or by post will receive a membership pack in post within 2 weeks of joining CSPA.
Once you are a member of CSPA, we can offer our members help if they experience problems with their Civil Service pension. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this assistance to Associate members.
All members get access to a significant range of discounts on travel insurance, high street retailers, discounted holidays, through to lifestyle and professional advice and guidance services.

Every member gets a quarterly issue of our magazine ‘The Pensioner’, which is full of interesting articles to keep you in touch with what’s happening.
Membership costs just £3 a month (£36 per year) for single or £4.20 a month (£50.40 per year) for a joint membership. Join us online today.
You can join us if you are:
- retired and drawing a pension from the Civil Service
- of any age and left the Civil Service bit are entitled to a Civil Service Pension when you retire (Civil Service deferred benefits)
- a former public sector worker and are in receipt of a pension (Associate Member)
If you are a spouse/partner of a member, or the surviving spouse/partner of a member, you are also welcome to join.
Associate Members qualify for all Members’ benefits (except individual pension case representation) including our free quarterly magazine.
Retired Civil Servant – Direct Debit or deduction from your pension. If you receive your pension MyCSP or the research councils, you can arrange to pay your subscription by monthly deduction.
